Default dvd burner

On a dvd burner the SATA interface makes it possible to transfer data at five times faster data transfer rates than the current DMA33 standards. But I see all the drives I looked at still burn at 20*. So if the ide and the sata both burn at 20* to a dvd rw is there any point in the sata.

The serial cable allows more air flow within the case and is cheaper to produce.

Wire management is easier with sata cables.

Easier to install and less to configure plus wire management and air flow like previously stated. Sata is also used to mirror HDDs.

Just wire management, simpler installation and frees up space for older IDE hard drives.

My computer uses 1.5A-load, .8A-idle, .65A-standby, .05A-turned off on 125V.
