Default DVD to AVI File Converting

I want to take a few of my DVD's and make them into AVI files. An easy google search and I can find 50 different softwares. However do you guys know of any good programs that I should use? Possibly one that supports quad core :-P

Thanks

That's a stupid way of thinking. I use the 'New Post' function so that I can see all the post. Don't post in the wrong area again please.

Yup. That's because one sub-forum is too boring.
