Dsp!?!

i've heard thata person having a Digitial sound processor will have better frame rates then a person having onboard audio,


is this true? how do you know if your sound card has DSP?

you'll have like a 1 fps difference at most.... it gets a lil off the cpu.. i don't think you'd notice the difference at all

pretty much BS...maybe by like .5 fps or something. And as far as I know the only true DSP for PC's is the X-FI. I have one and it's pretty...neato.

how about the quality of sound? would you notice maybe a slight boost in sound with DSP? is it worth it?

well based on my friends x-fi.. it made his speakers sound way more clear.. and the rears got a big boost in sound.. my rears suck balls right now, so i'm looking into a sound card, mostlikely a x-fi.. nothing too fancy though.. lowest of the xfi
