DS3 or P5B-E Plus?

it shouldn't do anything to performance since most SLI is x16 for one slot and then when you put in the second card they both drop down to x8 from what I understand.

that sucks about the mobo dude. I'd make sure that you get a DS3 from the guy this time before even leaving the store.

So when the guy called and told me the board was dead he offered to put in a DS3 Pro.

I've never heard of a DS3 Pro, nor is there one listed on the Gigabyte website, this guy sounds shady:confused: But as long as he is not charging you for it and it is a DS3 this time and it works - then all is ok!:)

in this case I would lean towards the ds3, but if you were comparing it to the p5b deluxe then I would more lean towards the p5b deluxe cause of it's features and other aspects of the mobo it self.

Here is the website I think he is buying from:
http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?item=MBDGBM0028

It is also known on Gigabyte as the DS3P I believe according to the specs:
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products...ew.aspx?ProductID=2418&ModelName=GA-965P-DS3P

Notice the DS3P labelled on the motherboard? I will open it up and check to see that number is right and if not then I will have to take him down.

He is charging me $15 more but I will get him off that when I go pick it up today. Otherwise I have to wait 2 weeks for the stock to get in for replacement.

I like the DS3, which I own, but the bios update and tech support from Gigabyte are absolutely horrible!!
