Default Driver detection software?

Does anybody know of any free software that can detect which drivers are out dated and what drivers may be conflicting? And can a out dated BIOS (version last updated in 2006) slow down system performance?

Driver Guide Driver Scan does, but it only tells you which drivers are outdated, and requires you to register if you actually want to automatically update

DriverGuide.com (printer drivers, cdrom drivers, modem drivers, sound drivers, mouse drivers, monitor drivers, etc.) - DriverGuide.com

beware ad is full of ADS, i had to get some drivers from there once worst experience ever.
