it sounds like he wants the best "media center PC money can buy" not the flat out best PC available because most people dont realize that games influence the PC world more then anything. get him a decent rig with lots of storage.

tell him he needs a drizzt5, It fits in his couch slot at night and use his computer for good during the day and require about $500 a day and food and love.

Lol...Drizzt5. Sounds like a good plan...$500 a day, and sits on the couch. He is a doctor, so free medical care.
