Don't buy ALIENWARE CASES!

wow what alienware case did you get.. the crappy box one???

because the aurora's are based on chenming fulltowers.. which have tons of room
 
I would not even bother with the cutting.

Take this as a lesson learned, and somehow try to sell it on ebay and get as much back as you can, and buy a real tower.

but yeah its crappy, but now I learned my lesson.
 
I agree w/ rican just sell the thing and purchase a real case. I too was looking at an XPS case and researched up and down to make sure it would fit all my stuff. Found out it didn't. I recommend the Adamas case I linked
 
Man I tried looking everywhere for the alienware case predator but nothing ever poop'ed out.

So what was wrong with the XPS case?

I hope I can get 80 bucks for this case. It seriously sucks.
 
the XPS ended up being BTX. An easier find than yours but w/ cases like those theres bound to be something that is proprietary
 
Man, all I think is, "Why din't you people told me all of this before?"

Now I am stuck, I am hoping I can sell the case for 80 bucks on craigslist. but its really bad.
 
its your own fault. We were recommending you regular cases. You went ahead and purchased the alienware anyways.

edit: When I first started building I bought an AMD FX-51 and a Asus A8V-E Deluxe. Guess what the skt was wrong, cpu was 940 and mb was 939. I learned the hard way and it never happened again.
