Question Does this sound like a good build at all?

I'm an uber-noob at PC building and I just started researching about a week ago...but I already have enough cash to buy parts! is the build that I would like to do, with prices to the side(not that it matters), and really I was just wondering if it's any good at all...thanks!

Acer 22-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor-$169.99.

AMD Phenom II x4 940 Black Edition 4-Core Processor 3.00GHz-$239.99.

Asus M3A79-T Deluxe AMD790FX Motherboard-$209.99.

NZXT Tempest ATX Mid-T Case-$109.99.

Cooler Master 600-watt Power Supply-$69.99.

Thermaltake V1 CPU Cooler-$59.99.

Thermaltake Cl-O0027 TG1 Extreme High Grade Thermal Grease-$14.99.

Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB Hard Drive-$84.99.

Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse-$79.99.

Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard-$59.99.

OCZ Dual Channel 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800Mhz(2x2048MB)-$51.99

Diamond Radeon HD 4850 Video Card 512MB GDDR3 Video Card-$149.99. or.....2x Radeon HD 3870 512MB...which one?

Logitech X-240 3-piece speakers-$34.99.

Windows XP Pro(Do I have to have a 64-bit version with 4GB of RAM?) -$149.99.

Anyways, that's pretty much it, but I have yet to decide what kind of optical drive(s) to get so if you guys would help me out with that it would be awesome. Also, is getting a sound card that much better than the on-board sound that the motherboard has already? Because the speakers I'm buying aren't that great anyways. Thanks a lot guys~Sam.

is this for gaming?

"Thermaltake Cl-O0027 TG1 Extreme High Grade Thermal Grease-$14.99.
i would recommend MX-2 or TX-2 if your using this for your cpu.

also, dont skimp out on the psu, atleast get something with more amps on the 12v rails, here is something that is a little better.
corsair psu

and last but not least.
"Diamond Radeon HD 4850 Video Card 512MB GDDR3 Video Card-$149.99. or.....2x Radeon HD 3870 512MB...which one?"

if your going to be gaming, get something a lil better.

Where are you buying your parts from? I suggest, they have the best prices. Your processor and motherboard is cheaper from there; - ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards
$195 - AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor - Processors - Desktops
$230 free shipping

You should get this hard drive instead: - Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives
It's $80 with free shipping and has more space.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it":
"Please take the chairs away. I don't like them. The big one is staring at me and that short one is being very droll."
