Exclamation does setting up raid really need floppy disk?

i have two raptors, and somewhere i read that a floppy disk with the raid drivers is REQUIRED. is this true? i dont have a floppy drive and was wondering if anyone else has had to use a floppy

You may be able to use a cd or usb. But not for all.

you could probably download the drivers from the internet to a cd or usb.. I personally had to use a floppy.

You can also slipstream the drivers onto your winxp cd

i find that kind of stupid that you cant just use a cd. floppy is dead.
