Default Does asus p5e x38 support dd2 1066?

Newegg.com - ASUS P5E LGA 775 Intel X38 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

It says ddr2 1200 but I think that's o.c. so does that mean it supports ddr2 800/1066?

thanks!

also, is the difference between 800/1066 worth the price of $80 more from $100 for 800mhz and $180 for 1066mhz.. iono what to do thanks

4 x DIMM, max. 8GB, DDR2 1200 / 1066 / 800 / 667 MHz, non-ECC, un-buffered memory

DDR2 1200 is O.C. speed

Yes, it will run 800 / 1066. I'd stick to DDR2 800 and just overclock to 1066mhz speeds. Make sure to shop around DDR2 modules known for overclocking well.
