Default Do I really need that expensive ram?

I was just wondering the difference between ram like Corsairs Value Select VRS their XMS models. I mean is the performance gain worth the extra 30 - 40 dollars for the XMS one. What makes them different anyway if there both 400/3200 anyway.

Yeah if you plan on overclocking your RAM then by all means go for the expensive RAM but if you don't plan on it valueselect is the way to go!

XMS is garbage performance RAM anyways, I don't even think they use brainpower PCBs

They do have some sets that use both Brainpower PCB's and TCCD's. The guide at XS points to the exact model for this combo.
