Off the top of my head I blieve Powerdvd8 has native blu-ray support that can be patched to allow for hardware specifications to be bypassed.

yeah those 1.6 atom proc's can play it but not at native res and certainly with NOTHING in the background.. you're much better off investing in a newer card that supports hd decoding (or whatever) so the cpu doesn't do it as the cpu does enough already and the gpu is idle for the most part in windows (not in gaming) as you will get NO stuttering.

8 series is very good at decoding hidef video.

8400 or a 3640 would be my recommendations.

agreed just get a newer 8 series or 3/4 series card and wont have to worry about the software patches.
