dilema between two graphics cards

But I want to get a 5 series now, because of what gurusan said earlier about the FPS drops.

I said the FPS drops were there on the GTX 280, not the 4870

lol this thread is just silly. scrimstar, there will always be something better coming up. when the 5 series comes out... if it does, then the second gen of 5 series cards will be only a few months away but at the same time there will be a nvidia competitor right there too. just get what you can when you feel you want to upgrade. don't look at what is coming, look at what is THERE.

I hear an hd 6 series might be coming out in the next couple of years as well.
