Different brand ram in different channels

I'm 99% sure this is ok but i just thought i'd just check.

I have 2x1GB OCZ 800mhz ddr2 running dual channel. The OCZ ram that i bought has gone back up to its original price so i'm thinking of buying another 2 1gb 800mhz ddr2 sticks of ram from a different brand like geil.

I know it's not a good idea to mix two different brands of ram in the same channel but will it be ok to mix two different brands of ram on the same mobo as long as each channel sticks to one brand?

Eg channel 1: 2x1gb OCZ 800mhz ddr2
channel 2: 2x1gb geil 800mhz ddr2

You should be fine. Just as long as the same channel sticks are the same.

They won't clash, unless you don't put on Dual Channel

I think aslong as they run at the same voltage, timings, and speed you're ok. It's not recomended, but you should be fine.
