Default Difference???

Newegg.com - XFX HD-583X-ZAFC Radeon HD 5830 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity
Newegg.com - XFX HD-583X-ZAFV Radeon HD 5830 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity

What is the difference!?

Here's what I've come up with so far:
  • There is a double lifetime warranty with registration on one of them.
  • One has more reviews.
  • One costs more for shipping.
  • The model is different.

Default Re: Difference???

they're both xfx models so they're both covered by a double lifetime warranty upon registration.

newegg reviews are almost useless as anyone (knowledgeable or not) can write a review on anything.

don't know what to tell you on the shipping.

yea i see their model #'s are different by one character. the one with the lower shipping cost is listed on xfx's site, the other is not...

other than that they appear to be pretty much the same.

The HD-583X-ZAFC is not listed on XFX's website, so it is probably the older model and the HD-583X-ZAFV took its place.

Ah..

One more question, could a graphics card, like this one, that requires a pcie 2.1 x16 connection work in a 2.0 slot?
