Default Desktop replacement notebooks, DX10, and Video Cards

Been looking at getting a new laptop to replace my tower. I'd be using it for work and play, and would like it to have some longetivity (I know a desktop would be cheaper, but I want the mobility).

Now I'm hearing all about the DX10 cards, and I'm left wondering how this would effect my buying decision.

Would it be worthwhile, price-wise and time-wise, to wait for a mobile DX10 card?

How long do you think it will be before we see a mobile DX10 compatible card?

ive got a x1400 alienware 15.4inch. I didnt replace my desktop of course... but it crushes CS:S, and of course WoW...toughest thing ive put it through is probably medium settings and a couple effects on oblivion.

Cost me 1100 US + shipping...

As for dx10 mobile... not for another year... Atleast.

The way I see it:
2-3months price drop on nvidia
3-4months r600
5-6 months less expensive dx10
7-12 months Mobile???

Well, even though it seems I was the only one who cared, I still found this article interesting. Suggests there will be mobile DX10 cards by Febuary.
