Get a SCSI 15k RPM hd instead and have 2x1 gig sticks instead. Also, for THE ultimate desktop, get the new 1kw PSU. ANd what motherboard?

LOL

Anyways, nice highend PC, well actually not really. You havn't even selected the motherboard, or all the extra's that count. And dual core > single core.

Why not an X2 toledo instead of the FX-57? More money isn't ALWAYS better...

well i'm not ready to build yet so i'm still counting on prices to drop. When it is all said and done i will probably get a system that is just off the flagship systems to save 40% cash or so.

Come now, is that really the best you can come up with? I can do better than that.

-AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo
-PC Power & Cooling TURBO-COOL 850 SSI (850 watts)
-Either dual 7800gtx in SLI, or dual 512mb x1800xt in crossfire (wait for benchmarks)
-4GB (4x1GB) DDR500 low latency RAM
-2x 150GB 15k SCSI Ultra320 80pin hard drives in RAID 0
