Default Dell selling AMD processors!!!

Wow, that site is slow. This news is months old. They're only selling them as single units though, not in pre-built systems, which is what the whole point is. And look how they label them, "Advanced Micro Devices." Which layman, not knowing about processors, is going to buy something made by this unknown "Advanced Micro Devices" company? Dell's just trying to keep from going down with Intel. They may or may not end up selling AMD processors, it depends on how the trial turns out.

I don't know, Dell has announced repeated price slashing almost to the point of having no markup on their computer systems at all in order to stay competitive and retain their enormous market share. AMD processors are cheaper to buy than Intel's and if they're cutting costs it seems a logical way to go.

I had actually just read an article about how Dell is possibly going to be selling AMD in their pre-built systems, not only as individual processors.

As mentioned before, it's pretty old news. There's not much sense in keeping a thread open so that a bunch more members can come in here and make sure to point that out, so I shall close this thread.......NOW!
