Hi everyone,

I would like to buy new laptop and I am not sure which one is better. I am graphic designer and use design softwares such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash e.t.c as well as 3D software such as Maya, Unity 3 e.t.c.

I liked one Dell and one Lenovo latop, please tell me which one is better for this purpose and why you think so. Booth laptops looks similar and its difficult for me to understand the difference between them because I am not professional about hardware.

Here are the specifications of each laptop.
----------------------------------------------------------
Dell R15 Inspiron N5110

*Intel Core i7-2630M 2.2 GHZ
* 500 GB SATA
* 4 GB DDR 3
*Nvidia GeForce GT 525M 1 GB

-----------------------------------------------------------
Lenovo Ideapad G580AL

*Intel core i5 3210M
*750 GB 5400 RPM
*4GB DDR3
*Nvidia GeForce GT 610 1 GB

Thanks in advance!!!

The Dell. The things you want to do require more CPU horsepower.

The first thing I would do if I was you is update the HDD in it to an SSD and put 8GB of RAM in it.

im torn, the processor in the Dell, but the graphics card is better in the Lenovo...

those programs don't use gpus, and if they do some, they wont benefit a whole lot from a mobile gpu. almost entirely gpu, so the i7 is probably the best bet.

then what pp said. it would be good to get an ssd in there. work from the ssd, store in an external drive.
