Hi all, I'm sure some of you might know of me from my other posts. I am trying to upgrade my pc (Which is a DELL XPS GEN4) It actually is pretty rocking minus a few things. I want to be able to change the power supply to run a better graphics card, upgrade the SATAs and eventually (don't ask why I just have to) upgrade to VISTA Ulitmate 64. Ok lets get this out of the way I can't seem to get Vista on my PC. I guess DELLs Raid and VISTA just dont get along. Second I am currently in a 32 bit enviornment trying to go to a 64 bit, So clean install probably best. Def. need guidence there. I just swapped out my 2x512mb (PC 2400) 533mhz for 4x1 gb (PC 6400) 800mhz. They shredddddd. but here was my default system. PLEASE WORK SOME MAGIC. Thank you all in advance.

The PSU would be strong enough to power everything plus the GPU? And will fit? Do I have to change anything in the BIOS to handle the new PSU>?

I added 4gb Newegg.com - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
(it's amazing)

Why do you think Vista wouldn't work before?

AWE MAN.. I just found out the 4gigs I put in in RAM, Only shows 3 gb? Is there a legit fix for this? XP PRO 32bit SP2 - does not support 4gbs I have seen some work arounds but I guess it causes unstable drivers.
