you wont see a difference in mouse "performance".

It's all about comfort and agility.

Try to find a retail store that has those models in stock and test them out there.

btw i prefer the death adder, it effing rocks.

The Deathadder was a choice for awhile...but I have a weird mouse style where i really only touch the mouse with my finger tips and rarely ever my palm...so the deathadder was a bit too sloped for my tastes.

So there really is no difference in performance? Why do some people think optical is still better than laser or sensors?

Preferences. Lasers are great but to sensitive for some. Optical work great, but their sensitivity is too low for others.
