Default Debating 2 monitor options for new build

These are both well priced on new egg right now and was wondering which one sounds the best.

Gateway 24"
Newegg.com - Gateway FHD2401 Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 400 cd/m2 2000:1 - LCD Monitors

Samsung 24"
Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 2494SW Glossy Black 24" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 50000:1 (1000:1) - LCD Monitors

I've read that the gateway is actually a 2ms response but i can't confirm that.

Just looking for opinions. They are both priced at 189.99 which seems pretty good.

I would personally go for the Samsung. 2ms or 5ms, the difference is pretty much unnoticeable.

Definitely the Samsung. Lots of people complain about their Gateway.

I just bought that same Samsung for my son for Christmas.....It has not arrived yet, but should be here early next week.

That is a sick deal for a 24"
