DDR2 667 with Socket AM2?

I want to build a new system with a AMD Socket AM2 X2 3800. Can I only use DDR2 800 or any type of DDR2?

yes, if the motherboard supports it (99.9% of the time, yes!)


there are cases where some ddr2 ram just won't work on AM2 sockets.. try to make sure the ram is not made for intel systems only..

read the motherboard specs it should tell you what ram it supports
