me haha....i am willing to spend that much but i will only if the cards are worth it....so far the 9xxx isnt, so my best bet would be 2 9800GX2s or 2 Ultras....

well yeah, but three ultras is sorta overkill. I can see two, but not three. But hey, the way your going, you may as well, set some records!

According to that review from anandtech, 9600GT in SLI was as good as CrossFire X.

The only game that CrossFire X performed very well is oblivion, but that just one old game.

Overkill and video cards all depend on what size monitor you play on. If you have a 24" or bigger, you NEED a good video card to run the resolution at any decent frame rate.
