Why do you prefer those?
The G-card is cheaper, so I'll probably go for that one.
The RAM, though, is $40 more, what's $40 better about it?

about the ram, i dunno...
there is somone on here (i cant remember who) whose super talent is kicking the crap out of the best oc i can get on my HZ's.
but, then again, i used to get overclocks on my xms2 that kicked the crap out of peoples best clocks on their HZ's...

I've been a fan of Supertalent, which is why I was wondering how much better another brand could be for $40 more...

I'm changing it up to This motherboard
So I'm getting This RAM

So here's the final partlist

Cooler Master Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UB No Power Supply Case (Black/Blue) 45.45
Cooler Master RP-500-PCAR eXtreme Power 500W ATX12V Power Supply 42.40
GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA775/ P965/ DDR2-800/ A&L/ ATX/ RoHS Motherboard 114.65
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6420 2.13GHz 1066MHz 4MB LGA775 CPU, Retail 184.85
OCZ Platinum 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) 118.99
EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail 259.99
Seagate ST3320620AS 320GB SATA2 7200rpm 16MB Hard Drive 71.45
Pioneer DVR-212DBK 18X SATA Double Layer DVD+/-RW Drive 36.35
Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard 70.70
Logitech G5 Laser Optical Mouse 45.45
Windows XP Home 86.00
Acer AL2016WBSD Widescreen LCD Monitor 169.99

yeah i have no beefs against supertalent, it's just that the OCZ ram was the cheapest good ram in a 1066 pack (1066 for the new mobo).

ok first off i suggest the scythe ninja for a heatsink
Newegg.com - Scythe SCNJ-1100P 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler - Retail

and i wouldnt suggest getting windows xp hme i suggest Microsoft Windows XP Profesional

and one thing umm if your thinking about getting more than 3gigs. of ram buy windows xp 64 bit edition because after 3 gigs. of ram your pc will start to slow down from (get this the funny part) to much ram to process so if your going higher than 3 gigs.

my thoughts:

E6420 I'd replace with the 6320 to save money and for overclocking reasons. I'd go with the Gskill ddr2 800 ram for price/performance reasons, that ram will overclock very well too.

Cooler master psu's aren't as high quality as the more expensive original psu you listed.

personally I'd find the extra ram on the 8800 good for future proofing and higher resolution, more aa & af in games.

Personally I'd buy an oem copy of vista home premium over xp these days, due to the optimizations included for dual core and 64 bit processors, you have a DX 10 video card and won't be able to use DX 10 in xp, also vista has more advanced memory management and better security.
