Default Critique my Newegg wishlist

OK here's the list
Newegg.com - Once You Know, You Newegg

This will be my first attempt at building a server, although I have built regular and gaming PC's. I need this to monitor and record 25 ip cameras, which is why there is so much HDD. I plan to put the HDD's in a RAID-5 array. I'm not sure if this system is over kill though? All I know is I'm using a $500 Walmart Acer as temporary, and the 2ghz AMD dual core and 320GB HDD is not cutting it. Only getting 1.2 fps out of the cameras and CPU usage is pegged at 100%, and I need this to operate 24/7 as part of a surveillance/security system. Any advice/opinions appreciated.

Default Re: Critique my Newegg wishlist

Bump

I caught 1 mistake I made(I think) I had SDRAM selected before but I read that waht I need is FB-DIMM, so I got that. I also changed my optical drive from an IDE model to a SATA model. Also changed my hard drived because A lot of the reviews of the seagates said they kicked a lot of S.M.A.R.T. errors. Some of the other drives say that too though, so not sure what kind of drives to get?

I would change the psu to a Corsair 750tx.

Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CE, CB, TUV, FCC, CCC - Power Supplies

Also that graphics card is overpriced. Since you won't be gaming a $34 HD 3450 will be fine.

Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100233L Radeon HD 3450 256MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
