Critique my build *added option*

Parts I have:
Antec 900
Antec 650w PSU
Windows7 64bit

Parts I'm about to buy: ---OPTION A---
Lite-On 24X iHAS124 dvd burner
1TB Cavair Black
XFX 5770 1GB
CORSAIR XMS3 4GB+XFX 5770 combo
PhenomII X4 955B.E. + GIGABYTE GA-790XTA-UD4


I changed some things around a little---OPTION B---
Lite-On 24X iHAS124 dvd burner
1TB Cavair Black
CORSAIR XMS3 4GB+XFX 5770 combo
GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P
Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition

Option B shaves ~$75 off the build by swapping out the PhenomII X4 955B.E. with the PhenomII X2 550B.E which can be unlocked and overclocked to at least the 955's abilities without stress.



My goal is to play all max settings and maintain at LEAST 30+FPS on Battlefield: Bad Company2 and other games like it.

What do you think?

Looks good, except for your ram... get 2x2GB ram instead. You'll have an odd number if you use the one listed above which is usually for triple channel memory.

Does the board I picked out support CrossfireX? I see it has 2 x PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots, does that mean it's ready for it?

Yes it will...as stated under the Features: "2 PCI-E 2.0 x16 interface with ATI CrossFireX support for ultimate graphics performance".

The memory has better timings (8 vs 9) and you'll get it for cheaper after the combo discount.
