Default create a build for me

I am looking to spend around $700 on a gaming system. Would maybe slide up to $800.

I have x2 WD Caviar Green 1tb drives in my current system, I would like to bring them with, and have them be secondary drives to a raptor perhaps?
(I would therefore have 3 hdds)

Does anyone have any reccomendations for RAID'n two 1tb drives with a raptor?

I am also interested in a motherboard that can be overclocked. . .

if someone reccomends a slick system I guarantee I'll purchase!

Does the budget include the OS? And are you looking for $700-$800 before rebate or is after ok?
I personally wouldn't get a raptor. I've never used one but the price premium just doesn't seem worth it to me. But a build without a OS and extra hdd...

Newegg.com - ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards $125-$15mir does raid and crossfire.

Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Wolfdale 2.8GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops $120

Newegg.com - OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory $56-$20mir

Newegg.com - OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies $65-$30mir

Newegg.com - Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases $60

Newegg.com - Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120mm "Core Contact Freezer" CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks $40-$10mir

DVDRW ~$25

So you would be around $491-$75mir

Lot of choices for video cards you could crossfire some 4830's for about $180-$20mir or get a 4870 512mb for $190-$15mir or 1gb for $225-$15mir

Newegg.com - ASUS EAH4830/HTDP/512MD3 Radeon HD 4830 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100259L Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Salty, he shouldn't use the power supply that comes with that Raidmax case. No offense but I think that case is hideous .

case Either the one above or if you prefer "gamer" cases then this Newegg.com - RAIDMAX AZTEC ATX-619WYP Black/ Yellow SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply - Computer Cases

To raid you will need to wipe all data off both 1tb hdd's
with the exception of the case that is a very good build.

you could do a little bit better and get some DDR2 1066mhz ram.

$15 bucks difference after rebate for those sticks though and the timings of my ones would make them very close to the performance of the OCZ

but there is also a 266mhz difference. so the 1066 sticks will perform better.
