Default cpu upgrade. (s939)

I currently have a venice core amd 3500+ 2.2ghz single core s939 cpu.

Now I am looking at the Athlon 64 x2 3800+ manchester 2.0ghz dual-core.

Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Toledo 2.0GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor - OEM

It is $50..

Will I see a noticeable performance increase you think. Only real difference is going to 2 cores.

Well, I think I will be stepping into the dual-core world then.

Whooray for me, 1 (correction) Toledo Core x2 3800 cpu on the way.

Also a couple 19db coolermaster fans recommended by Ethreal Dragon.

I would have, but I just don't want to spend the $100 on this s939 rig. This one was only ~$55 or something

Ya, I have a Abit kn8 SLI. I have had good OC results with my 3500 on it. I could run 2.65 stable "daily running" on it. I will be using a Zalman 9500.

That sounds like a very good upgrade to me. You should see a big difference going to dual core.
