how come in the program cpu-z it shows my processor going at 2394 mhz then it goes up to 3192 for a sec then abcjk down for liek a minute and it repeats nonstop. the processor is a pentuim d 3.2 which should run at like 3200 mhz right?? sio wats going on

i forgot what its called but the processor changes multiplers to save power when comp is idle. i.e. it uses 16x * 200mhz in use and 12x * 200mhz in idle.
