I bought a new cooling fan for my Pentium 4 today and installed it. With this LGA775 cpu cooling fan, there are screws on each of the corners to attach it to the CPU and motherboard...anyway when I installed it I tighted 1 of the 4 screws too tight and stripped it so it won't tighten. With 3 of the 4 screws attached the CPU fan seems to still stay nice and tight to the CPU and when I run my PC it is running fine, nice cool CPU temp and all.
Anyway I was wondering should I be safe and still buy another because I stripped one of the screws, or should I just stick with this since it seems to be running fine ??
