Question CPU choice?

I have bought everything for my new computer apart from the cpu and was just wondering what people would recommend. I was thinking of going for the AMD 4200 dual core. Anyone have this cpu and would recommend it? Or should i go for something else?

Thanks

Do you have plans to overclock?

I personally would go for either the 3800 or the 4400 and give it the slight overclock to the next one. It is barely breaking a sweat at the extra 200mhz but is saving you a nice amount of money.

is the only difference between the 4200 and the 4400 the two 1mb cache's? does that really boost performance? And will overclocking reduce the life of my cpu or is that just gfx cards?

OCing will reduce cpu life, but only by a miniscule amount since cpu's are supposed to run for some rediculously long amount of time

i would go with the X2 4400+, you will notice a difference with the added cache
