Question cpu advice

i'm undecided about which cpu that i can get.

my options are AM2 x2:

3800+
4200+
4600+

and take a look at this article:
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/328

scroll down to the bottom and look at the table. according to this, a 3800+ would have better memory performance than a 4200+ right? because of the whole cpu multiplier thing?

first of all, is it possible to overclock a 3800 from a 2.0 to 2.4 GHz?

AM2's are great, but an Intel Core2 Duo setup is the best way to go right now...

You see the raw performace of the duo cores. They are very cheap compared to amd. Bang for your buck ratio. Try to go for it. And if you stick with amd get a 4400

silly me, what was i thinking??

I am here to help people not jump on peoples cases....unlike yourself....go do some research before you make these senseless comments.

AMD outperformed Intel until the new E cores same out recently...
