Corsair XMS 2 x GB decent?

....Mine won't go past 800, and if I set them to CAS 4 timings, it won't boot. I guess I got a pair of lemons, like nagasama use to say about his HZs.

yeah, it happens to everyone and every company. like veebub says, it seems they have shipped some bad modules and gotten a bad rap for it. i dunno. i still suggest gskill, corsair, and crucial (based on your experience b1g)...depending on which is cheaper at the time. 50 bucks for that ram is pretty awesome. lol when i first bought my xms2 i think i paid $280 for 2gb.

I was gonna buy it at my store but i thought.......... what happens if i combine different rams and overclocking?

so its probably better to get the same ram with the same specs when overclocking.

yeah probably. but that corsair should hit the timings you have in your sig. most likely it owuld be okay. but i didnt mix mine.
