Default Corsair PSU came w/ molex and floppy drive connectors?

Just opened up my Corsair hx750:
It came w/ 4 SATA connectors.
But I believe it came with 2 floppy drive and 4 molex connectors?
What the heck are floppy drive connectors used for? Old school dinosaur floppy drives?
And molex connectors used to be used a while ago before molex correct?

Molex are still used nowadays - mostly for fan connections, or converting over to extra PCI-E.

As for floppy drives...better to have them there for legacy sake. Usually I'd think they include an adapter than a straight floppy cable.

Being an HX you don't have to plug those in if you don't want to.

Floppy connectors are still used for some things like fan controllers and extra PCI-E voltage on some boards. 4pin Molex connectors are also still widely used by other peripherals as well.

I can think of a few parts that use the floppy connection, but it's rare... Usually it's USB 3.0 add-in controllers that use them, or random fan controllers built into a few cases.

Molex, still widely used by everything from Motherboards to even some SATA hard drives, fans are another thing that use Molex still...

I actually wondered the same thing too. I have a floppy connector on my 600w psu but I have NEVER seen a MOBO that actually supports floppy disks in the last year or so.

That's because the connectors are there as a just in case.

Sure, if they still have a good deal of components on the market with the connector.
