Overclocking a P4 won't matter at all to try to hit the power of an i7 at stock.

This is a gimmick account right? Right?
Also, i cant believe no one mentioned the main reason. Hyperthreading. The 920 has 8 logical cores, the core2 has 4.

:freak:

Also, i have had my 920 up to 4.3ghz so far on just water.

I wonder just how fast a theoretical p4 would have to be to match a core i7? 15ghz? The highest ever P4 OC was 8.2ghz to my knowledge and Core 2s are still faster.

EDIT: In other news, my rep says I am "on a distinguished road" sounds like something you get form a fortune cookie lol.

My i7 running at 3.2ghz is faster than my q6600 that was running 3.6ghz. My q6600 could -barely- hit 4.0ghz and it took 1.6v to get there. My i7 so far has hit 4.3ghz at 1.475v.
