I should be getting all of my parts (Christmas gifts) on monday and tuesday for the upgrade. I am very excited to get this working too bad I have to wait. At least I have 2 weeks off over the holidays to play games, overclock, and kick a$$.

I did get the monsoon 3 cpu heat sink as it seemed like one of the best ones out as of now. Can always get a better one later.

I though about going with the 200 series cards when I purchased a few months back but my old rig would not support them and I wasn't planning on upgrading for a while. These cards should hadle the gaming load for a year or two.

how would ur old rig not support them?? as long as its pci-e you would be fine... pci-e 2.0 is not necessary!

Guess I did not do enough research. Oh well these cards are great cards anyway.

Once I start overclocking my i7 I may need a little help. I am used to overclocking AMD and I know there is a difference.

actually... overclocking i7 is more similar to overclocking amd than it is previous intels

you overclock ur base clock and qpi

base clock being the bus, and qpi being hyper transport

only now you have the additional uncore clock
