will me 4870 be able to handle my monitor? it's a 52" Sharp aquos, 1080, or will i need to xfire it?

Yeah your TV will handle it fine. It's close to the native res of a 24" so you'll be fine. Good thing is if you decide that you want/need MOAR POWAHR you can crossfire quite easily with that board. (if you're gaming that is)

Awesome Pete! That will come in handy if I ever go tri-monitor...you know, two 22 or 24" monitors on the sides, a big *** 52" on the wall in front of me, rofl.

Haha. I'll be running most likely a nice Sony 32" or maybe a 40" if I can gather enough money.

It'll be faster. It all depends on what you're doing and if you have that e8500 overclocked.

But yes, it will be a good bit faster. The i7 920 is a pretty sweet CPU.
