Exactly. Quality over quantity. A move from the OCZ 700w to a Corsair 750w would be plenty. Running 5850s in CF would likely be the biggest power draw for anything you're running...unless you're building...I dunno...a waffle iron into it?

btw with the psu and the cpu am going to OC it up to 3.4 will it be fine also running 5870?

with this build do i still need some cables for like HDD and such? or anything else?

nope. the mobo will come with the necessary cables to connect hdds, optical drives and such and power cables will be provided by the psu ofcourse.
