If i remember correctly, the pa series of radiators are 61mm thick as opposed to the 34mm of the mcr series, thus they are more restrictive and would need a higher pressure air current to achieve the same amount of air flow through the rad itself.

I use 28db 45 cfm fans on my mcr220 and the loudest thing in my rig is the d5 pump...

they are thicker, but the fins are spaced further apart unlike the MCR's which are placed REALLY close together. so with the PA's you can use a low speed fan, but to get the same cooling with a MCR you have to use a high speed fan.
