Default Conroe Build Candidate (Hope to order by this weekend)

Building with a C2D E6600

C2D E6600:

Intel D975XBXLKR Mobo:

OCZ EL Dual Channel 2048MB PC5400 DDR2 667MHz Gold Memory (2 x 1024MB)

EVGA GeForce 7900 GT KO / 256MB GDDR3 / SLI / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV

Seagate / 250GB / 7200 / 8MB / SATA-300 / OEM / Hard Drive

Ultra / X2 Connect / 550-Watt / ATX / 120mm Fan / UV Sides / SLI Ready / SATA-Ready / 20/24-Pin / Modular Power Supply

Ultra UV Wizard Black ATX Mid-Tower Case with UV Reactive Clear Side, Front USB and Firewire Ports (Open Box)

Need a reaction to all of this because this will replace a 3 year old computer that needs to be replaced for games. Can't wait much longer for new parts.

Anyways the PSU/Case combo is pretty much set. I keep hearing Ultra PSUs being bashed here so I found a number of reviews online and they all said good things about the X2 Connect. The UV-reactive case should look nice with the UV PSU.

Really need someone to check the Processor/Mobo/RAM and tell me if it's a good combination.

Thanks for any help.

EDIT: Also would this fan be compatible with the processor? Would it be a good fan for it?

Some lucky people over at XS, and a few people from the UK.

Does DDR2 800mhz increase performace enough to justify the increased price?

*Edited to make it clear what type.*

Cisco CCNA, Comptia A+, 1/3 through CCNP
