Look here. Some of the Core 2 Duo processors called "Conroe" are actually a cut-down version of Conroe called "Allendale" but it's the same great architecture, therefore, worth getting.

yeah i was checking out some benchmarks and whatnot, the conroe seems to domiinate, even the 1.8 Ghz is pulling ahead of the 4400+

i like how the intel stickers look worse and worse... after every processor, the intel p4 w/ HT was my fav sticker

The Athlon 64 stickers were ok. They weren't anything special or eye-catching, but they were functional and came to symbolize prime performance.

It's too bad Core 2 Duo owned as hard as it did, it brought about the end of an era...

...but also the beginning of a much much better one. :classic:
