computer strictly for audio needs

okay i'm on a strict budget, but i need a computer to run my audio programs, which are serious professional programs, thats all this computer will be for, i don't need any microsoft programs or anything else, do you have any suggestions on a good system and how much i can expect to pay, dont forget i'm on a budget but i don't want to compromise performance so tell me what you know

francy i suggest you you go to a site like cakewalk.com or cubase.net(i think). there u have professional musician who have a way better understanding of builidng a computer for a DAW(digital audio Workstation). over here you goona a couple of ppl who know about the high end professional audio card. But the mass majority are goona tell to get a the sound balster X-fi,which is crap for audio work. Go to thoses sites man u wont reget it.
