Computer is built, but can't install windows?

Ok, got all my components installed today. This is my first build.

Abit IP35 pro
Q6600
LiteOn dvdrw
Seagate 250g HDD

The computer will post and I can get into the bios. When i choose where to boot from, I put the SATA CDrom as the 1st option. The problem is when I try to install Windows, it says "Boot from CD: Disk boot failure, insert CDrom and press enter? Am I doing something wron?

If you burned the OS, try another copy. If it is legit, try another copy. Basically, this should be a problem physically with the disc.

hardrive has below 8mb of swapable ( or equalivant ) of space left, Is the harddrive new or used? Are u able to load windows, then reboot then it gives that problem? Are you using an original windows disc?
