as far as processor if you have the money for an fx-60 its the best card you can get.

optys and x2's are good cards but **** the fx-60 flies

dont let anybody tell you differently

I'd try a 3800+or a 4400+ if you wanna try OC'in and X2, but really I'd have a look at OC'in an Opteron if you're not going for the FX-60, as I think you can get more performance out of the Opty

So lets recap incase of new posters:
Change my mobo to Asus A8N32 Deluxe
Go with single GPU eVGA 7900 GT (maybe sli down the road/ wait for g80)
Possibly Overclock Opteron/X2 to save on money

Any other input suggestions? I have a Klipsch Pro Media Ultra 5.1 Soundsystem, do I go for a better sound card then what comes with the mobo?

If I decide against sli completely do I go with the MSI K8N Diamond mobo that has soundblaster audigy chip, and it also provides a combo packege with the 4800+ X2 saving $40?

AHHH! To much information to process! going to be a long summer.

Well the on-board sound is more than adequate on that board to be honest (the Asus that is).

EDIT: I wouldn't go with that Mobo/4800 X2+ package, you'll be better off with a Opty/3800/4400

Tell me what you think of this build then!

What else should I improve/change with say $800 at most more to spend?

Looking sweet :D, see how we've halved the price almost :D

I personally would save the $800 for a G80 :p.

Buuuuttt, dont you need a monitor with your system? Or is that sorted?

Ok, well that sounds good then.

Are you happy with your hard drive size? Looks a-little small to me (but I hoard everything on my HD :) )
