Hey

Did a lot of research on this topic more. Got almost everything picked out, however still having a bit of time deciding on which case.

CPU: Opteron 165 or 170 Dual Core $330
Aluminum Case: $181,Tj06 $140
MOTHERBOARD: DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D $130 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...b3r#DetailSpecs
MEMORY:Going to get 2 GB G.Skill
-Anyone want to help me, best quality for best price?
VIDEO CARD: XFX GeForce 7800 GT Overclocked $317
POWER: OCZ POWERSTREAM 520W $142
COOLING: I think the air cooling, with another heatsink will be enough. Maybe go water cooling in the future. Not sure when I should start water cooling or not?

Case choices:

Lian Li PC-65B http://www.xoxide.com/lianlipc65b.html
Cooler Master Praetorian Case: http://www.xoxide.com/comaprcab.html
Thermaltake Shark http://www.xoxide.com/thermaltake-shark-black-va7000bwa.html
Thermaltake Armor: http://www.xoxide.com/thermaltake-armor-case-black.html

Both of the Termaltake cases with rebates are only $6-$18 more than the other two, give or take. Also both allow for possible watercooling. However should I be planning for the future or get the other tow cases.

Thanks for your help

ocz ram

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231032

gskill ram (10 bucks cheaper)

The only difference stated on newegg is that ocz has a constant voltage of 2.6 where the gskill ram has a varying voltage of 2.6-2.75, i actually dont know if that makes any difference. If someone knows let me know. Btw, this ram is a definite overclocking ram.

edit:

I would also go with the lian li case. IMO they are the cleasest cases around, plus they dissapate well. Also, for you graphics card, go with an evga rather than xfx. I hear that xfx is unreliable although i have no personal experience. YOu can always oc later

Yea everything looks good except for the video card, get a e-VGA card, it overclocks a lot better than on XFX. Doesn't varing voltage mean it can overclock higher?

well i thought that meant that it would run cooler and if im not mistaken you would have more room to go up to higher voltages
