one more question I had is on my old setup... I had a dvd rom drive and a Dvd burner drive. I connected those on my old mother board to my 2nd IDE spot. My new mother board only has one IED spot and my 2 HD's are plugged in there. The only other spot like this on my new mother board is the FDD1 socket. Is that where I would plug my DVD Rom and DVD burner and if so, do I need a new cord?

Does your motherboard have SATA ports?? You can not plug an IDE cable into the FDD port. You will mostlprobably have to buy some IDE-SATA cables for you hard drives so you can plug the optical drives in.
