I was looking over and thinking about buying this board
- XFX nForce 780i 3-Way SLI Intel Motherboard
MB-N780-ISH9
And I've been reading a lot of sites talk about having to have the 8800gtx models for 3-way sli.. Would the 8800gt's run in dual sli?
Also, the board is Core 2 quad compatible, is that for an X3220 2.4g quad core chip as well? I know it's 775 like the 6k series chips and all, but should I worry about a compatability issue?
The video card was this one.. But if in the longrun, when I decide to upgrade to sli, I won't be able to use 8800 gt models, so should I start looking at the gtx models and buy one of those power houses until I decide to go sli?
-XFX GeForce 8800 GT 512MB DDR3 XXX 670mhz/1.95ghz
