I agree you could build better. A computer that slow is going to be crushed by Windows Vista. You'll want to get no less than 1gb of ram and a dual core processor before you have a PC that'll actually work for you. $300 is cheap but it just doesn't cut it; you'll be disappointed with that computer at any price.

Home Basic really isn't as stressing on the system as Home Premium and up.

I'm selling a bunch of this kind of computer every day for people wanting to "Go on internet, watch picture, use Word". And this computer is way enough, not everyone wants to go though the building computer process, nor game.

Although, it is in the "High Performance PC Systems" forum :P
