Default Comments on my new build welcomed.

I'm a new member and I hope it's OK to jump right in with a request for advice.

I'm building a new PC (have built two previous ones) and have tentatively settled on these components. Wouls appreciate any advice or comments about incompatibilities or less-than-ideal choices. Thanks.

Do you have a suggestion? Someone mentioned a Thermalright "Macho." Does that sound right?

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 has 4 pipes for a whole lot less

If your going to seriously O/C then you might want to consider water cooling
Just noticed this Back Edition...I like it
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...82E16835103278

That case has no USB3.0 You should get a case with USB 3.0 ports on the front or top

Thanks Joe C. According to Fractal Design's site the front panel has • 2 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0.

+1 to 212 Evo or black edition. You'll need water to OC. The 8700k is a hot chip and with an air cooler will need plenty of airflow even stock.

And for $20 you can buy a new I/O front panel that will add a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C port:

That's a solid $100 more than what we were suggesting lol.

So funny story with that. My best friend always listened to me over the years about blower cards and has had an H100i on his CPUs for like 5 years. Earlier this year he upgraded to the Enthoo Luxe and an 8700k. With 2 Titan X's his temps were fine. He upgraded to a 2080ti (only because he knew I'm skipping this gen and wanted half a year or a year of having something newer than me lol) and now his 8700k reaches the 90s no OC. Only all core boost. He messaged me yesterday and was like I fully understand now why you preferred blower cards.
